3-Day Trip from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi – N – Tichka – Ait Benhaddu – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge

Departure from Marrakech at 7am, cross the Tichka Pass at 2260m, visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, lunch in Ouarzazate, visit the Kasbah of the city. We cross the oasis of Skoura, Kalaat M’guna, Rose Valley to reach Dadesh. Overnight in Dades in a hotel with half board.

Day 2: Dades Gorge – Tenghir – Todra Gorge – Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart from Dades Gorge to Erg Chebbi, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. See the Berber villages scattered along the route, drive through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud to get an impression of the Sahara landscape. Visit the oasis of Tafilalet before reaching Merzouga. Relax at Merzouga before you board your camel and cross the sand dunes on your way to the Berber nomad camp. Admire the dunes and desert landscape from a timeless perspective, listening to the drums of a desert camp in the middle of the Sahara. Photograph the spectacular sunset from the top of the large dune. Then return to camp and spend the night in a nomadic tent.

Day 3: Merzouga – Midelt – Ifrane – Fez

Admire the rising sun and board a camel in Merzuga. Our camels will take us back to Merzouga, where we will visit one of the cleanest and most charming cities in the world. Ifrane is known in Morocco as ‘little Switzerland’ because it is high in the Atlas Mountains and has snowfall in winter.

You can have lunch in Ifrane, or an easier (depending on the time of day) stopover in the Ziz valley. This beautiful road in the interior of Morocco offers plenty of photo opportunities and magnificent scenery.

Our modern air-conditioned minibus takes us through the beautiful Ziz valley. Here you will see a series of spectacular gorges, reddish-golden dunes and a number of spectacular Tafilalt oases. Here you can admire the dense, lush canopy of palm trees that thrive on the sides and at the base of the cliffs, the spectacular views of golden and pink sandstone buildings and the deep gorges that wind through this picturesque valley.

The culmination of our journey and exciting adventure is the drive to Fez and the dump, which will take you to this bustling town at around 5pm or 6pm. Here you will be transferred to your hotel or accommodation in Fez.
