3 Days desert tour from Fes

Day 1: Fez – Midel – Errachidia – Merzouga:

On the first day we set off from Fez (the spiritual city of Morocco) at 7am to the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will stop in the town of Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland), then in a cedar forest near Azrou with its monkeys in the Middle Atlas. After the Zad pass (2178m) we arrive in Midelt and have lunch. We enter the Ziz Oued area with exceptional views of the dunes and valley….. We will visit the marbles and fossils of Erfoud and finally arrive at the foot of the Merzouga dunes, where we will spend the night in a Berber tent in the silence of the desert under the starry sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge:

After breakfast and a shower, we head to Boumaln-Dades via a photo stop in Yorf (with old irrigation systems), then through the small oases of Touroug and Tinejdad before reaching the famous Todra Gorge for lunch. After a short walk through this rocky geological landscape, we will continue our journey into the beautiful valley and gorge of Dades. Dinner and overnight stay at Kasbah Hotel.

Day 3: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Marrakech:

In the morning, after breakfast, we will travel to Marrakech (the jewel of the South) via Ouarzazate (our Hollywood) along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. We will see the beautiful rose valley of Kalaat M’Gouna (rose capital), the kasbah of Taourirt (old Ouarzazate), the cinema centre and finally the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch. In the afternoon we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tichka Pass (2260m) and reach Marrakech through magnificent panoramic views and end our one-day desert tour in Merzouga from Fez.
