Itinirary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Zagora

Departure at 7.30 am from Marrakech to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Great South, through the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizin Tichka Pass (2260m), which offers exceptional scenery. Before heading to Ouarzazate, we will visit the famous Kasbah (Ait Benhadda), a UNESCO World Heritage Site where great films were shot. Lunch in Ouarzazate.

Continue to Zagora by road along the left bank of the Draa River. Dinner and overnight stay in the bivouac.

 

Day 2: Zagora – Tazzarin – Alnif – Merzouga

After breakfast departure from Merzuga to Zagora via Tazzarine through the beautiful villages of Jbel supported by Tizugiren. Alnif direction over a wide stony plain. Lunch in Tazzarin. Dinner and overnight bivouac in Merzouga.

 

Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Tinghir

After breakfast, depart for Erfoud. Visit the town and then continue to Tinghir, known for its lush palm grove. Lunch in Tinghir. In the afternoon, visit Todra Gorge, a natural area with high rock walls. Many film shoots take place here.

Dinner and overnight stay in a beautiful riad.

Day 4: Tinghir to Ouarzazate

After breakfast, drive to Ouarzazate along the road known for its thousand kasbahs, which stretches for about 150 km along the Dades valley between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas Mountains. Admire the fortified clay villages. On the way we pass through Klaa M’Gouna, a beautiful village, the city of roses in Morocco. In the afternoon visit Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

 

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Depart for Marrakech via the Tizin Tichka Pass, the highest pass in the country, which is covered in snow for most of the year. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
