5-Days Desert Tour from Fes

Day 1: Fes – Azrou – Errachidia

Our first stop will be in Azrou, where we take a walk to explore the forest and the barbaric macaws. We arrive in Midelt, a beautiful and clean little village known for its apple production. We cross the Ziz valley where there are numerous oases. Our next visit is to the town of Errachidia, famous for its Kaser Souk, a traditional market and the oldest place in town. We will meet locals with a mixture of Berber and Arab cultures. Stroll around the town and meet the locals before reaching your hotel in Errachidia.

2 Days: Errachidia – Erfoud – Erissani – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

We leave Errachidia and cross the delightful landscape. We drive through wide country and a beautiful road with many palm trees in the oasis. We pass through Aoufus and then Erfoud to see different types of mountains that look very different from those we have seen in Morocco. We arrive in Errissani, a beautiful and welcoming town where we will visit the Moulay Ali Sherif Mausoleum with a peaceful and beautiful garden. The last stop of the first day is Merzouga, where we will ride camels through the dunes of Erg Chebbi and meet local nomads who will give us a great welcome and entertain us in the evening with traditional nomadic instruments and dances. We will then spend a wonderful night under the dark blue sky of the vast Moroccan desert.

Day 3: Merzouga – Errissani – Errfoud – Tinghir

Depart Merzouga with beautiful morning weather, delicious breakfast, and sunrise. You will ride a camel to Merzouga. And with farewell, we leave this beautiful and incredible place. We pass through Errissani to visit the traditional market and then to Erfoud, where you can visit the fossils and learn more about the very ancient objects of this village. Taste Moroccan cuisine and enjoy lunch at one of the excellent restaurants along the way. Explore the oasis of Tafilalt to the Todra Gorges, marvel at the tranquility and vastness of the place, and take some photos between the two gorges. Then drive to Tinghir, a small Berber village, explore the Berber culture and spend the night in one of the comfortable riads with a delicious dinner.

4 days: Tinghir – Bomalen Dades – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

Wake up in the morning, relax and enjoy the tranquility of the village over a delicious riad breakfast and get ready for a new adventure. As you drive through Bomalen Dades to see other beautiful gorges, you will be impressed by the beautiful mountain shape and tranquility. Our next visit is to the Valley of Roses, an incredible place where 3,000 to 4,000 tonnes of wildflowers are harvested every year in April and May, and if you’re lucky, you can enjoy the experience with the locals. Arrive in Ouarzazate with views of the changing landscape, explore the town with our driver, visit the international film studio known for producing many historic films such as Game of Thrones and others, experience a film set, then head to Ait Ben Haddou for half board and a delicious dinner.

5 days: Ait Ben Haddou – Kasbah Telouet – Tizi N Tichka – Marrakech

Wake up and relax and enjoy a delicious typical breakfast at the hotel. Our next stop will be the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an impressive and well-preserved Kasbah fortress in Morocco. Many films such as Gladiator or Game of Thrones were filmed here. After lunch, we will head to the Kasbah of Telouet to learn more about the heritage of this place and the era of the Kasbah in Morocco. We cross the High Atlas Mountains through the highest road pass in Morocco, the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass at 2260m, offering breathtaking views of the valleys and unobstructed mountain views of the traditional Berber villages of the High Atlas. Along the way and through wonderful scenery, we will reach Marrakech, the last point of our tour, full of incredible moments you will never forget in Morocco.
