6-Day Tour from Marrakech to Casablanca

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – TELOUET – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE – DADES GORGES.

The tour begins by exploring the High Atlas and Berber villages. You will cross the Tizi n’Tichka, the highest road in Morocco (2260m) and the only direct pass that takes you to Ouarzazate and the entire south-eastern region. The first stop is the kasbah of Telouét, located on the high ground of the Unila valley. The latter offers spectacular scenery with ochre villages, abandoned kasbahs, orchards and Ksuras. Then visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhadu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at the Kasbah and continue to the Desert Gate and film city of Ouarzazate, where you will visit the museum and film studio. Continue on to the Dades Gorges and the Valley of Roses where you will spend your first night at the Panorama Dades Hotel.

DAY 2: DADES GORGES – TINGHIR – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA – ERG-CHEBBI DUNES

The next day, after breakfast, you will travel to Merzouga. You will cross the Todra Gorges, the starting point for excursions into the High Atlas Mountains. You will then visit the place and continue to Merzouga. Upon arrival, you will hire camels to start your journey across the desert through the beautiful dunes of Erg Chebbi. In the evening, enjoy a beautiful sunset before heading to a luxury bivouac where you will spend the night after a campfire dinner at Sand Atlas Camp.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – ERFOUD – ERRAHIDIA – AZROU – IFRAN – FEZ

Wake up in the morning to watch the sunrise over the dunes and ride the camels and then return to your hotel. After breakfast we will start the drive to Fez through several towns, Erfoud, Errachidia, Midelt, Azrou, where we will stop to take some beautiful pictures in the cedar forest, Ifran. Reaching Fez and resting overnight at Zalag Menzeh.

DAY 4: FEZ – CHAFCHOUNE

Hop in your time machine today and wind through the labyrinthine streets of Fez, exploring the oldest Moroccan medina of the 7th century with its bazaars, palaces, mosques, madrasas and mellahs). Then cross the Rif Mountains to reach the beautiful Berber town of Chefchaouen and Fez. Dinner at your hotel/riad. The next day, explore the whitewashed streets of Chauen, lively with elegantly dressed locals, accompanied by your guide. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Madrid.

DAY 5: CHAUEN – RABAT – CASABLANCA

In the afternoon drive to Rabat to see the capital of Morocco and the residence of the King. Visit Hassan Tower with the mausoleum of King Mohammed V. After lunch, drive to Casablanca and visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in the world. Located on a rocky ledge to the north-west of the medina, it is a huge building with a capacity of 25,000 worshippers and a further 80,000 in the surrounding plazas, overlooking the sea. A guided tour is required to see the interior. Overnight in the Moroccan commercial capital at the Hotel Le Prince de Paris.

DAY 6: CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH

Today is devoted to discovering the red city known as the “Pearl of the South”, an 11th-century imperial capital whose monuments testify to its rich past and one of the world’s top tourist destinations. The highlights of the City before we end our tour:

• A visit to the famous Jamaa El Fna Square.
• Visit to El Bahia Palace.
• Visit to El Badia Palace.
• Visit Qutubiyah Mosque.
• Visit the Saadian tombs.
• Visit the Dar Si Sa’id Museum
