Experience the camel trek in the Merzouga desert and spend the night in a camp

The Merzouga Desert is the most spectacular part of the Moroccan desert. Here you can have the best desert experience ever. The dunes of Erg Chebbi, just south of Merzouga, with their 150-meter height, are the most popular one between the dunes of north Africa. Also, it’s the gateway to the big Moroccan Sahara, so the discovery of the big Sahara is incomplete without stopping at the Merzouga desert.

Marrakech and Merzouga are 550 kilometers apart and the journey takes just over 10 hours, so it is better to spend one or more nights to fully enjoy the beauty of the desert and spend an unforgettable time.

Camel ride experience and one night in the desert of Merzouga, Morocco Sahara 

At 09:00, after breakfast, we start the big tour of the Erg Chebbi dunes to explore life in the Sahara. We cross desert plateaus such as salt lakes, black deserts with volcanic rocks, temporary rivers, Paris-Dakar tracks, tea with local nomads, beautiful oases, and villages including Khamlia village (black Gnahuas of Sudan). Lunch is planned as a picnic in an oasis or at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to the hotel to prepare the caravan for a one-hour camel ride. You will witness the beautiful desert, global sunset, and sunrise, and enjoy a quiet night with the sound of local music and shooting stars Overnight in nomadic tents in a private bivouac in the middle of the desert.
